IT consultant and hobbyist game developer. Made a few small games with friends, some of which I'd be willing to share at some point, and some not so much. Have had a tendency to start game projects off with making a main menu, so I have a lot of menus with no game. I've dabbled in the genres of adventure, stealth, vertical shooters, and puzzle platformers, and would like to try many others. I have experience with GameMaker 1.4, Unity, Pygame, and Android Studio. Currently trying to transition to C++ and SDL2, expecting to find freedom from shortcomings in pre-made engines. I've also made some music and art, but that's just something I do when my friends don't have time.
Other than gaming, game development, and programming I enjoy cooking, board games (especially riichi), anime/manga, learning languages, and twisty puzzles. As far as playing games go I especially enjoy metroidvanias, tower defense, and rpgs. I like most genres of music, but have found myself listening to a lot of power metal lately.
